BLT Day 5 - The House of the Mouse

Day 5 was one of the most magical days ever - there's just something about Disney!

We again were in line for rope drop and had an amazing day.

This is the magical park in the Land series.  This is where you'll see Mickey, etc.  Unfortunately we didn't get any character pics as they weren't out as much but it didn't take away from the magic.

We were able to ride just about all the rides.  Only rides we didn't get on the most were the ones in Storybook land, which is most of the kid rides.  The lines just got too long but we know what to hit first the next time we go.

This side of the park was also where I had a few things I wanted to try snack wise, including this raspberry macaron.  I'm not a huge macaron fan but the buzz on this was real and it was good!

The biggest ride this day that was on the top of Keith's list was Rise of the Resistance.  Now I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but this was worth the hour wait (which was the longest ride wait we encountered on this trip)
All I could think about was how on earth they made this ride so realistic.

We made sure to get a prime spot for the Main Street Electrical Parade.  We grabbed a dole whip snack to share during this.  It stinks to be short but it was still a great experience!

Immediately after the parade they do the fireworks.
Yes I cried.  I'm pretty sure I saw Keith's eyes get wet too.
I will always believe!

I cannot express enough how much we were happy to final get this trip rescheduled.  It had been on our radar for a long time and was truly a bucket list trip.

People started asking me which was better, Land or World and honestly they both are.  I will certainly be back to Land one day in the future but its easier to get to Florida, which we will be going with the twins in 2024 or 2025.

We went with no expectations, no reservations except our park days and our hotel and we had the best time ever.  Try a trip like that, you may just like it!

BLT trip - Day 4 - DCA or bust!

My heart exploded on Day 4 of our trip as I was super excited to set foot into Disney's California Adventure!

Disneyland is compromised of 2 parks that share the common downtown Disney area.  They aren't nearly as big as any of the parks in Orlando but they are the original parks and if you ever get a chance to visit, its a must!

We got there at park open and can successfully say we rode every ride that was open - so in total 3 rides were closed.  The iconic Mickey below is at Pixar Pier which is home of the Incredibles.  This was also the view from our hotel room for the week.

The key here is to ride single rider if you don't mind being split up from your party.  However Keith and I were wearing matching shirts, and had first timer buttons, and we ended up on every ride together that we attempted the single rider for.  Ride times were not that bad but considering you get to the front of the line quicker in the single rider, we were all about it.

DCA is all the Disney own attractions that are not your princesses, Mickey, etc.  So we toured Cars Land, Avengers Campus and a whole lot more.

Dinner we went outside of the park (you can come and go as much as you need with your ticket) at Downtown Disney at Ballast Point Brewing.  It was nice to leave for a few, fill your tummy, then be able to get right back at it.

At 9pm each night, DCA showcases what they call the World of Color.  Its a nighttime light and water show that is set to music and illuminations of Disney movies.  Its a must see:

It was a heart happy day!

Our final day in California was at the house of the Mouse - come back next week for that fun!
