Memorial Day 2022!

 

I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend!  I enjoyed the extra day off and in a blink its over with!

Friday night we kicked off the weekend with the premiere of the new Top Gun Maverick movie:

If you haven't seen it yet...GO!

Now I grew up with this movie, I know every line to the original and I have an extremely high regard for the Navy/Air Force, etc.

There was no better way to kick off this American weekend!

During the movie, the Blues were playing game 6 against the Colorado Avalanche.  Had we not been at the movie, we would have been there and I'm glad we weren't because the Blues lost with the last 5 seconds left.  It was a good run.

I am not cheering for Colorado to continue on.

Kick their butts Edmonton, knock out Leddy as a tribute to him knocking out Binnington.

Saturday we trekked up to Hannibal for the Twain on Main Festival.

I had been wanting to go forever and we had never been free until this year.

We had a blast!

 

The other festival I want to go to is the Mark Twain Days, it falls on July 4th this year and we are not in town so maybe next year!

The rest of the weekend was low key!

Bike ride & bbq at my Dad's on Sunday.

Burn SAC test ran on Monday then just a lot of yardwork and catching up on stuff around the house.

I just can't believe its going to be June tomorrow!

2) What I'm reminiscing about:

10 years ago we went on our honeymoon to Disney World.  One month from today I'm fulfilling a bucket list and going to Disneyland for our rescheduled covid trip. Cannot wait!

3) What I'm loving:

Me time! We just switched schedules and I now have at least 45 min in the am to read. I've been not able to read as much so I'm super happy about it!

4) What we've been up to:

- American Heart Association Metro Heart Walk in honor of my niece Carrie. 4 years strong!

- live music nights outside with friends

- preschool graduation

- school carnival 

5) What I'm dreading:

Nothing right now honestly!

6) What I'm working on:

Only crafting I've done lately was for graduation.

7) What I'm excited about:

All the fun stuff coming up!

8) What I'm watching/reading:

The Golden Couple by Greer Hendricks - it has snatched me in!

9) What I'm listening to:

Currently a baby screaming. I just want to go pick it up!

10) What I'm wearing:

Finally switched clothes from winter to summer so have been pulling out the summery dresses.

11) What I'm doing this weekend:

Friday - kicking off Memorial weekend the most american way ever with the new top gun movie!

Sat - might venture up to Hannibal for the Mark Twain Festival. It's been on my to-do list forever.

Sun - bike ride I hope

Mon - BBQ with family

- vacation!

Life is just busy. My class is insane so when I get home I'm exhausted amongst other things.

But I'm going to do better starting today!
