Friday Five!

Hey hey its Friday!

1)  Happy National Margarita Day!

Its awesome that this day falls on a Friday because I have a girlfriend coming in and we are grabbing the margarita deal at Fuzzy's tonight.  She's never been to Fuzzy's (how is that possible?!?) so it'll be a fun get together.  One boy will be involved as I need him to get the table because it'll be packed.

2)  I'm going to a teacher job fair tomorrow.  I don't have any expectations going in and I have things ready to pass out HOWEVER I'm pretty sure they all will hand something out that says to apply online.  I'm just going to feel things out since its been 2 years.  Wish me luck!

3) Have you been following the Blues lately?!?!?

We were at Tuesday's game where they won and gained a franchise history record of 11 in a row.  They lost last night and we go Saturday so fingers crossed that Saturday's game is just as great as the one we saw Tuesday.

4)  My sister and Dad are at one of my favorite places, Copper Mountain, to ski this week.  This view makes me jealous:

Oh and they are under a winter storm warning that's predicted to drop 16-18 inches of snow.  The big difference?  Colorado doesn't freak out and shut down like Missouri does with a snow storm.  You'll find bread on the shelves, ha!

5)  I'm ready for some ZZZ's this weekend!

Thursday thoughts - the new ME!

One of my goals this year was to concentrate on me.

I am constantly trying to make sure others around me are happy.  Many times this is more than making sure I'm in a good place and many times its much more than I get in return.

One of things I did to put me first and foremost is I signed up for a personal trainer.

I've been going since the 2nd week of January and I feel GREAT!  Seriously!  I am much stronger, much more tighter and just overall happier.  I really needed a kick and this was it.  I'm doing it for 2 more months then I feel like I'll be ready to be on my own.  I've also altered my diet and luckily I'm started to see changes in that too.  Its just overall a great feeling!  I belong to Club Fitness and luckily they are opening up all over the area now and its even more accessible for time at the gym.  I never hated it but I enjoy it more.

Oh and that person that looks like they are staring at you - they are just really curious as to what you are doing but are afraid to ask.  I've gotten that a lot lately because I've been doing equipment that I never thought I'd do.

The next stage of ME is going to be working on some of the relationships that are in my life.  I'm at an age where I'm just tired of drama.  We've had a "friend" recently (I use that word friend lightly) say some really mean things towards me, and my relationship with Keith, and its like I really don't need those people in my life.  This "friend" really seriously needs professional help and he won't get it and he feels better if he tells people this and that.  I've got a plan for this and next month hopefully I can write an update about it.  This meme seriously sums him up:

January books!

Well February you snuck in fast!

I read a lot in January.  I had a goal to read many Christmas books and some spilled out after Christmas but that's ok!

The magic of the season bring 3 sisters together. It was a cute book.

I just wasnt a fan of this book. It had some good parts but overall eh.

Cute story about reconnecting and finding ones self.

This book is interesting. They set the stage in St Louis so I knew the places & streets listed. It showed how some people allow work to come before family and how sometimes people change.

Not a fan of this book. I had seen mixed reviews so gave it a shot but no good.

This book touches on what ca be a problem - not taking time out for yourself, family or the holidays. It's cute and it made me wonder if theres really something like this around.

A girl with everything (so she thinks) ends up with nothing and works her way back to a sense of normalcy.  One of my favorite parts was her revenge SUV.  Theres more books in this series I plan to check out.

When you dont want to go to a family function single because everyone will set you up, you put an ad on craigslist for a "boyfriend" and let the acting begin!  It was a good read!

K&J's Techie Hut Superbowl 3.0

Despite the teams playing we had a great superbowl party.

We arent huge football fans. We do like college ball and will cheer for Mizzou and did go to a few Rams games when they were here but hockey is our sport ultimately. 

However when we moved into our house we wanted a party that we knew we'd have every year so superbowl is it!

Commercials were eh. Chevy & Ford didnt show up and there was a Jeep one released early that we didnt see actually air. Bud Light, Budweiser & Microsoft were my favorites overall.

The company was the best. For some it was their first party at our house; for others its tradition. 

In true missouri style the weather was in the 60s in February so we decided to set up our VR outside. Everyone loved it!

Overall a fun night!  Honestly am hoping for new teams next year but we will see. They should have a cap on the amount of times someone can play, ha!  Anywho until next year! 🏈
